Planchest update Thursday 12 May 2022

OK final effort today almost a month after our more than 10 years of Microsoft Partner membership was called into question. We will have to seriously consider giving up and replacing our MAP subscription with retail licences. it isn't so much the expense but the dismal prospect of having to carry out installation and configuration only to arrive at a less satisfactory development environment than hitherto.


The fundamental problem is that Microsoft is using a verification method which conflicts with the GDPR and isn't looking at what we are saying in response.


So I'm going to summarise our efforts so far by listing the documents Peter or Steve have submitted with live links where possible:

Surely we have proved that Planchest limited is the owner of domains and, that business is being carried out by Peter Lord as director, StephenSolt as consultant. A situation indeed which differs little from that which obtained during more than 15 years Microsoft partner status.

Planchest update Monday 9 May 2022

Having updated this page over the weekend I uploaded a pdf print of the webpageto verification with a note that if verification failed could somebody PLEASE ring me.


But this morning I find rejection again with this advice:


There are 2 reasons why we can't do this, namely:


         The domain purchase and renewal invoices from Fasthosts didn't mention Planchest Ltd, just Peter Lord. At my request Fasthosts have reversed this but they can't seem to get name and the company to appear.


         There is no chance of getting detailed registration information thanks to the GDPR.


Microsoft won't talk to us but I noticed there is still a TXT entry MS=ms60392983 in the DNS records for that I remember making as verification when first applying for MPN. So I'm going to try that.


Then I'm going to go to Microsoft UK headquarters in person and complain about the whole ridiculous process.


Planchest update Sunday 8 May 2022

Planchest have been Microsoft Partners since 2009 but this status is currently undergoing flawed re-verification.


On 14th of April we changed the business address to reflect Stephen Solt's resignation as Director and Peter Lord's resumption of control of the business he started in 1999. These changes were already implemented at Companies House so imagine our dismay at the unanticipated disastrous consequences: this launched an online verification process which proved impossible to satisfy whilst preventing us renewing our Microsoft action-pack subscription with the result that we have been unable to to use Visual Studio from Sunday 1st of May and our email stopped working on the 5th of May!


We raised a support ticket on 15 April but this only resulted in one email from support on 16 May which didn't address our problems and seems to have been abandoned by Microsoft. It remains open nearly three weeks later with no action by them or reaction to our further submissions or notes.


Microsoft agents responded to two telephone appeals for help with promises of calls back from the appropriate team which have not materialised days later. Apparently Microsoft is very busy. Planchest is not: our business remains suspended and we are unable to work for our clients who will naturally be concerned. But we can't even email them!
